ESTABLISHING THE RESTRICTED USE OF
UNMUFFLED COMPRESSION BRAKES
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of September , 1995 the Board of Mason
County Commissioners set a date and time to hear the request for restriction on
UNMUFFLED COMPRESSION BRAKES on State Route No. 101 (MP 326.50 to MP 328.00 ) .
WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners has reviewed said petition
and received public input regarding same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Mason County
Commissioners has determined that, in the best interest of the public health and
general welfare of the citizens of Mason County, that the area petitioned shall
be restricted from use of unmuffled compression brakes,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that when such restrictions occur
on a County Road, the County Engineer is directed to fabricate and install the
necessary signs and keep appropriate records of such actions. When such
restriction occurs on a State Highway, the County Engineer is directed to notify
the appropriate Division of the Washington State Department of Transportation and
assist the State in their expedient installation of the necessary signs.
