AMENDMENT TO THE THE LONG-TERM COMMERCIAL MINERAL LANDS MAP
AN ORDINANCE amending the official Mason County map titled "Mason County Long-Term
Commercial-Mineral Lands, 1992" and the mineral lands thereby designated as specified in
Section 8.52.090 (b) (1) of the Mason County Code and in Section.17.01.066 (B) (1) of the
Mason County Interim Resource Ordinance Number 77-93, under the authority of Chapters
36.70 and 36.70A RCW.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on August 8 and
continued on August 15, 1995 to consider the recommendations of the Planning Commission,
the Mason County planning staff and citizens on areas appropriate and not appropriate to be
designated as long-term commercial mineral lands as directed by the Interim Resource
Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the Mason County Planning Commission formulated its recommendations after a
public hearing on May 15, 1995.
WHEREAS, these hearings were duly advertised public hearings.
BE IT ORDERED AND RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
MASON COUNTY, THE STATE OF WASBINGTON, as follows:
That the official Mason County map titled "Mason County Long-Tenn Commercial Mineral
Lands, 1992" is hereby amended so as to remove the designation as Mineral Resource Lands
from those lands in the "Brockdale" and "Winter Creek" area and to designate additional lands
in the "Winter Creek" area as follows:
The areas to be removed from designation as mineral land are within the following areas:
