Extending Effective Period and Amending Res. 25-93 RESOLUTION NO. 11-95 EXTENDING THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD AND AMENDING OF RESOLUTION NO. 25-93, WHICH IMPLEMENTS THE INTERIM MEASURE TO REDESIGNATE PORTIONS OF THE TOTTEN AND LITTLE SKOOKUM INLET SHORELINES FROM RURAL TO CONSERVANCY SHORELINE ENVIRONMENT. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 25-93 was adopted by the Mason County Board of Commissioners on March 23, 1993. Such Resolution enacted an interim measure that established a Conservancy Shoreline Environment designation on shoreline properties along Totten and Little Skookum Inlets and had remained in effect for a twelve month period that ended on March 23, 1994; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 25-93 refers to land divisions and development of existing parcels using current shoreline development standards; and WHEREAS, the Mason County Board of Commissioners extended this shoreline designation interim measure for two six-month periods to the date of March 23, 1995; and WHEREAS, the Mason County Board of Commissioners referred the shoreline designation review back to the Mason County Shoreline Advisory Board for public review to consider a new designation type-, and WHEREAS, the Mason County Department of Community Development is completing an inventory of shoreline resources and land uses. When the inventory is completed, the review of elements of the Mason County Shoreline Master Program will continue, including public review before the Shoreline Advisory Board and the Board of County Commissioners; and WHEREAS, testimony at an April 18, 1995 public hearing raised the concern about standards for development on existing parcels along Totten and Little Skookum Inlets; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The Mason County Board of Commissioners hereby amends Resolution No. 25-93 to extend by six months the effective period of the interim measure that redesignates portions of the Totten and Little Skookum Inlet shorelines from Rural to Conservancy Shoreline Environment. The interim measure shall now remain in effect until September 23, L995. The Mason County Board of Commissioners hereby amends Resolution No. 25-93 to include the following: For parcels legally created prior to the adoption of this Resolution (March 23, 1993), Rural Shoreline Environment development standards shall apply. For parcels legally created following the adoption of this Resolution (March 23, 1993), Conservancy Shoreline Environment development standards shall apply. DATED this j 1 day of 1995.
