Establishing 1996 Lower Hood Canal Clean Water District Assessments RESOLUTION NO. 54 - 96 ESTABLISHING 1996 LOWER HOOD CANAL CLEAN WATER DISTRICT (A SHELLFISH PROTECTION DISTRICT) ASSESSMENTS WHEREAS, RCW 90.72.070 states "The County legislative authority establishing a shellfish protection district may finance the protection program through(1) county tax revenues, (2)reasonable inspection fees and similar fees for service provided, (3) reasonable charges or rates specified in its protection program, or(4) federal, state or private grants...." WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners wish to finance the Lower Hood Canal Clean Water District protection program through an annual assessment. NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the annual assessment for the calendar year 1996 for the Lower Hood Canal Clean Water District be established as follows: 1)Larger/multiple connection on-site sewage systems $250.00 per on-site sewage system. 2)Publicly owned parks with RV connections $450.00 per park. 3) Tideland parcels $26.00 per parcel. 4) Structures connected to on-site sewage systems that do not meet the definition of 1) or 2) above $52.00 per structure or dwelling unit. Larger on-site sewage system means any on-site sewage system with a design flow of greater than 3,500 gallons per day and not regulated with an NPDES permit. Multiple connection on-site system means any on-site sewage system with five or more dwelling units connected into one septic tank. Tidelands means any parcel with tidelands, whether in part or wholly tidelands. SIGNED THIS day of April 1996.
