NOTICE TO FUTURE PROPERTY OWNERS OF
ONSITE SEWAGE HOLDING TANK
I the undersigned hereby place this notice on record that the described real estate situated in
Mason County,State of Washington,has a holding tank installed on this lot for sewage disposal.
The permits of the holding tank were approved as a repair as no other feasible options for onsite
sewage disposal were determined at that time. The permit was approved with the condition
that the holding tank would be regularly pumped and maintained. A Holding Tank system can
create substantial maintenance costs to future owners depending on its use. Future building
permits for home replacements, expansions or changes to footprint or flows may require an
upgrade to a full on-site septic system which could.be challenging given the current site
conditions.
Failure to maintain the holding tank in the manner required by Mason County Public Health is
a violation of the permit conditions and Mason County Code.This could result in abandonment
of the holding tank and vacating the property until such time another suitable method of sewage
disposal can be approved.
