6a. Briefly summarize the overall project. You can provide more detail in 6b. [hep]'''
Minor repair activity to extend the life of the shoreline structures for another season until the structures
can be rebuilt
6b. Describe the purpose of the, project and why you want r need to perform it. [help]
The applicant's existing pier and float are old and in need of repair. There is an existing application in
place to replace the entire structure, however the permits will not be received in time for the summer
months. The applicant wishes to use the dock during the summer months and ensure that it is
structurally sound to make it through another season until it can be rebuilt. This will make the overwater
structures safer for both humans and the environment. Therefore, the project objective is to repair the
existing shoreline appurtenances while avoiding or minimizing impacts to ESA-listed species and
improving shoreline habitat at the site.
