COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO.: 1577
WHEREAS,on Mason County Road No. N/A (Ref.No.00001),known locally as thel01 Connector Study-,
and generally located in Township 21N,Ranges 2W, 3W and 4W,W.M.;in Township 22 North,Ranges 1W,2W and
3 W,WM,and in Township 23 North,Range 1 W,W.M.-work defined as"construction"in the BARS Manual,Page
II-63,et seq,is determined to be necessary and proper;and
WHEREAS,this project is identified as# 8 on the officially adopted County Annual Road Program;and is
identified as Priority No. 9 on the officially adopted Six Year Transportation Program(1998 to 2003).
THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their
intention to:
Perform a feasibility/corridor study for an overland route from Highway 101 to Highway 3,
approximately 25 miles in length.
SAID WORK is to be performed by contract in accordance with the Washington State Standard Specifications
for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted by Mason County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above described County Road Project is necessary and proper,and the
estimated costs of said project are herewith set out as follows:
Feasibility/Comdor Study $ 1,725,000.00
Right-of-Way $
Road Construction $
The County Road Project herein described is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public necessity,and the County Road
Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED to report and proceed thereon as by law,provided and in
accordance with WAC 136-18.
ADOPTED this 16th day of December 19 97.
