1997 BUDGET
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION BUDGET-NOTICE OF HEARING
WHEREAS,by reasons of conditions which could not be reasonably foreseen at the time of making the
budget for the year 1997, it is necessary to make provision for supplemental appropriation(s)to the budget as
required by RCW 36.40.100,due to the following:
• Sheriff/Current Expense Fund:Bureau of Justice grant, Squaxin Tribal entitlement,revenue from the
City of Shelton, and interest income to be used for the purchase of equipment and an upgrade to their computer
system.
•Personal Health/Nursing Fund: federal WIC fiends,federal and state consolidated contract funds, state
preventative tobacco education funds, and intergovernmental revenue for a five-county community assessment.
•Environmental Health Fund: Department of Health funds for a site sewage system barrier study, state
shellfish recreation grant, and funds to upgrade the laboratory and monitoring equipment.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,by the Board of County Commissioners:
That the 14th day of October, 1997 at the hour of 9:30 am,in the County Commission Chambers,
Courthouse,Building 1,411 North Fifth Street, Shelton, Washington,be and the same hereby fixed as the time and
place for a public hearing upon the matter of the supplemental appropriation(s)to the budget as follows:

The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to cause notice of such hearing to
be published as provided by law.
