1997 BUDGET
EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION - NOTICE OF HEARING
WHEREAS, by reason of conditions which could not be reasonably foreseen at the
time of making the budget for the year 194,it is necessary to make provision for emergency
appropriation(s) to the budget as required by RCW 36.40.140, to meet an outstanding
obligation of the Sheriff for Animal Control services.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners:
That the 15th day of July, 1997 at the hour of 9:30 a.m.,in the County Commission
Chambers, Courthouse Building I, 411 North Fifth Street, Shelton, Washington, be and the
same hereby fixed as the time and place for a public hearing upon the matter of the
emergency appropriation(s) to the budget for Current Expense/Sheriff Department, in the
estimated amount of $29,700 for the above-mentioned purposes.
The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to cause
notice of such hearing 'to be published as provided by law.

DATE AND PASSED: JULY 1, 1997
FOR EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION OF $29,700
WHEREAS, this emergency appropriation is necessary to meet an outstanding obligation of the
Current Expense fund Sheriff's Department for Animal Control.
WHEREAS, a notice was published and a public hearing was held in accordance with RCW
36.40.140 and with Resolution No. 68-97 (see Attachment B which was incorporated as part of this
order).
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MASON COUNTY, hereby approves the
emergency appropriation in the amount of$29,700 for the Sheriff to be expended as follows:
