Amending Res. 35-97 Fairgrounds Rental and Vendor Fees "RESOLUTION NO. 60-97 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 35-97, FAIRGROUNDS RENTAL FEES AND VENDOR FEES" WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners adopted Resolution # 60-97 on June 3, 1997 to establish rental fees at the Mason County Fairgrounds; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the resolution to raise the gate admission to the Mason County Fair as recommended by the Fair Advisory Board and Fairground Management; AND, WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners held a public hearing to consider amending the rental and vendor fees and establishing a parking fee. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Mason County Commissioners amends Resolution No. 35-97 and establishes the Mason County Fairground Rental Fee Schedule and the Mason County Fair vendor fee schedule as outlined below effective 1-:;, C11 The following flat fees in the rental fee schedule include state and local sales tax. FACILITIES RENTAL PRICES PER DAY RENT DEPOSIT Building# 3 - Outdoor Stage $13.00 $25.00 Building# 9 - Exhibition Building $27.00 $50.00 Building#13 - Small Hall $67.00 $200.00 Building#14 - Exhibition Building $40.00 $75.00 Building#15 - Livestock Barn $27.00 $50.00 Building#16 - Exhibition Building $47.00 $75.00 Building#17 - Olympic Hall $162.00 $300.00 Building#17 - Each booth around building $7.00 $25.00 Building#20 - Exhibition Building $34.00 $70.00 Building#21 - Conference Room $40.00 $70.00 Building #22 -Exhibition Building $54.00 $100.00 Building #23 - Poultry Barn $27.00 $65.00 Entire Fairgrounds Rental $500.00 $400.00 Parking Lot in conjunction with Grounds Rental $100.00 included w/grounds CAMPING FEES PER NIGHT Camping Fees with water& electricity $10.00 Camping Fees without water& electricity (dry camping) $ 8.00 Group Camping Rates: (Group leader to collect and make one payment) 25 - 50 units 7% discount off camping fees only 50+ units 12% discount, applies to other rented facilities also 100+units Group should rent entire grounds plus electricity costs. RENTAL OF ENTIRE GROUNDS Entire Grounds $500.00 OR Entire Grounds including parking lot $600.00 OR Parking lot only $100.00 per day OR 10% of renters gross fees received from concessionaires and gate receipts whichever is greater. PLUS electricity from the time the renter starts setting up until the day after the event ends. The renter is responsible for cleaning all grounds including parking lot and the bathrooms during set-up, during the event, and after. The renter has two days after the event is over to clean the buildings, grounds, and parking lot and make any repairs needed. The renter will be charged for any cleanup done by Convention Center staff at the rate of$15.00 per hour. Rental of entire grounds within fence involves a caretaker to assist with problems that may arise. DAY USE FEES FOR EVENTS STAGED AT GROUNDS: RENT DEPOSIT If no facilities or facilities other than restrooms are used the fee per participant and spectator will be: $1.50 $100.00 Stall Fee $2.00 N/A ARENA GRANDSTAND AREA(West end of Fairgrounds) RENT DEPOSIT For ALL events: $200.00 $250.00 OR 10% - of all gross receipts, whichever is greater VENDOR BOOTH SPACE RENTAL FOR DURATION OF THE FAIR Inside Building#14 (8x8) $125.00 Inside Building#17 (8xI0) $130.00 Outside Areas, per front foot $ 14.00 IF VENDOR IS SELLING from their space they must pay 15% of gross receipts OR booth rental, whichever is greater. MASON COUNTY FAIR, GATE ADMISSION PRICES Adult Day Pass $4.00 Adult Season Pass $7.00 *Family Day Pass $10.00 *Family Season Pass $20.00 Senior Citizen Day Pass (62+years) $3.00 Student Day Pass (13-18 years) $2.00 Child Day Pass (6-12 years) $1.00 Children ages 5 and under accompanied by adult Free 4-H& FFA Exhibitor Season Pass $3.00 Participating Vendor Season Pass $5.00 *a"Family" consists of 1 or 2 adults accompanying any number of children under age 18 THIS FEE SCHEDULE MAY BE MODIFIED ACCORDING TO CLASS OF USER AS FOLLOWS: CLASS 1: GOVERNMENTAL Mason County entities will pay a minimum of $3.00 per hour to cover utilities. Other government entities will pay the minimum charge of $3.00 per hour plus $15.00 per hour will be charged for any clean-up not completed on day of use. CLASS 11: NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT SPONSOR LARGE EVENTS PROMOTING TOURISM IN MASON COUNTY AND/OR BENEFITING OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WHO ARE FILLING PUBLIC AND SOCIAL WELFARE NEEDS WITHIN MASON COUNTY. These users will pay full, flat rates as outlined: However they will be exempt from the percentage (%) provision which results in fees greater than flat rates. Improvement of the facilities which helps to fulfill long range objectives as developed by the Convention Center Advisory Board and approved by the Mason County Board of Commissioners, may be accomplished in lieu of payment of fees; subject to the approval of the Director of Mason County General Services. These users may also be exempt from paying fees in advance in recognition of the cash flow problems attendant to festival management. Cleanup and damage deposit will be paid in advance. CLASS III: NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT SPONSOR SMALLER EVENTS WHICH ENRICH THE CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT AND WHO ARE FILLING PUBLIC AND SOCIAL WELFARE NEEDS WITHIN MASON COUNTY. For those Class III groups with paid usage at or above seven or more times in the previous calendar year and who regularly work to maintain/improve buildings and/or grounds as a part of their fairgrounds usage may receive a 10% discount upon approval from the Director of Mason County Department of General Services. CLASS IV: OTHER USERS WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE ENTIRE RENTAL FEE SCHEDULES.
