Authorizing Application for Funding for Education and Enforcement of ORV Laws RESOLUTION NO, 24-7-9 7 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR FUNDING ASSISTANCE FOR A CONTINUING PROJECT OF EDUCATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF ORV LAWS TO THE I.A.C. AS PROVIDED BY THE OFF-ROAD AND NON-HIGHWAY VEHICLE ACT (R.C.W. 46.09) WHEREAS, under provisions of the Off-Road and Non-Highway Vehicle Act, stated funded assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in financing the costs of projects for the education and enforcement of ORV laws; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Mason County Commissioners considers it to be in the best public interest to operate an education and enforcement project in Mason County. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Mason County Commissioners that the Sheriff be authorized to make formal application to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation for fund assistance for a 1998/1999 grant, and that any fund assistance so received be used for the operation of the education and enforcement project for ORV laws in Mason County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution is to become a part of a formal application to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation. DATED this 1st day of April, 1997.
