COMBINATION OF WATER QUALITY AND
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH FUNDS
WHEREAS, RCW 36.32.120, states "The legislative authorities of the several
counties shall: ... (6) Have the care of the county property and the management of the
county funds and business..."
WHEREAS, it is the best interest of Mason County to combine the two separate
funds for Water Quality and Environmental Health into one Water Quality/Environmental
Health Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, a Water Quality/Environmental Health Fund shall be
established by combining the Water Quality Fund and Environmental Health Fund. The
purpose of the new Water Quality/Environmental Health Fund shall be to account for the
group of programs providing services designed to protect county residents from illness and
injury and to improve the quality of life in Mason County through the preservation and
enhancement of the environment.
FURTHERMORE, the Treasurer and the Auditor are directed to transfer all assets of
the old Water Quality Fund into the new combined Water Quality/Environmental Health
Fund.
