ESTABLISHMENT AND PURPOSE OF SKOKOMISH FLOODA MITIGATION
FUND
WHEREAS, RCW 36.32.120 states "The legislative authorities of the several counties shall
... (6) Have the care of the county property and the management of the county funds and
business..."
WHEREAS, Mason County was granted federal and state funds for the purchase of property
in the Skokomish Valley to lessen the valley's flood hazard.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Skokomish Flood AMitigation Fund (Fund No. 198-000-000) is
hereby established for the purpose of property acquisition as authorized in the Skokomish
Acquisition Project and approved in the 1997 Mason County Budget.
