INCREASING THE 1998 SALARIES OF ELECTED OFFICIALS
OTHER THAN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, RCW 36.40.080 states that "...the Board of County
Commissioners shall fix.and determine each item of the budget separately and
shall by resolution adopt the budget...;"
WHEREAS, the fixing of Elected Officials' salaries is an integral part of
the budgeting process;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners recognizes the value of
an equitable salary schedule for the Elected Officials of Mason county;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County
Commissioners does hereby increase the 1998 salaries of Elected Officials,
excluding the County Commissioners, effective March 11, 1998 to the annual
amounts specified below:
ASSESSOR $46,910
AUDITOR $46,910
CLERK $46,910
CORONER $23,455
PROSECUTING ATTORNEY $90,173
SHERIFF $55,303
TREASURER $46,910
Note: Judges salaries are set by the State of Washington
