Interin Amendments to County Development Regulations ORDENANCE NUMBER 16 - 98 INTERIM AMENDMENTS TO THE MASON COUNTY DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS IN THE MATTER OF: Enacting a six month extension to Ordinance No. 94-97, which is an interim measure which established amendments to the Mason County Development Regulations, Ordinance No. 82-96, under the authority of Chapters 36.70 and 36,70A RCW. WI-IEREAS, the Mason County Board of County Commissioners adopted Development Regulations for Mason County Washington, Ordinance No, 82-96, on June 17, 1996, in order to regulate land use in the county and to implement the Mason County Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the City of Shelton and Mason County, share a commitment towards cooperative planning and jointly approved a memorandum of understanding, which was adopted by Mason County as Resolution 93-97; and WHEREAS, the City of Shelton has withdrawn from the Western Washington Growth Management Hearings Board, Case Number 96-2-0023 and Mason County Superior Court, Case Number 96 2 00848 0, In re Dawes v. Mason County; and WHEREAS, Mason County has not completed its comprehensive review of its development regulations and land use plan, but has committed to a schedule that calls for final action by the county prior to the end of August, 1998; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED, that the Board of County Commissioners of Mason County hereby amends the Mason County Ordinance No. 94-97 to continue the effect of the ordinance from February 26, 1998, for six months, until August 26, 1998, or until it is otherwise revised by the Board of County Commissioners.
