Dear Ron,
After reviewing the application for Land Modification which
you made on behalf of the Sheldon' s, I have exempted the work from
requiring a permit through this department based on the following
criteria:
1 . The amount of material, either excavated, used as fill or
exported to another lot, will not exceed 200 cubic yards
per parcel of land.
2 . The land modification which occurs on site will be
consistent with Chapter 33 , Excavation and Grading, Mason
County Grading Permit Standards as adopted under Mason
County Resolution 141-96 to which a copy is attached.
Exemption from the permit requirements of this Chapter shall
not be deemed to grant authorization for any other work to be done
in any manner in violation of the provisions or any other laws or
ordinances of Mason County.
As we discussed, if a situation arises as a result of the land
modification activities that have been exempted under the scope of
this project that necessitate enforcement, we reserve the right to
do so as outlined in Section 3307-Hazards .
The land modification work, as proposed on GRD99-0001, can be
commenced once you have received approval to begin from the
Department of Community Development . Please notify me of your
antici ate 'start date once it has been established.
