COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION NO. : 6 9
COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. : 1630
WHEREAS, on Mason County Road No . 60130 known locally as Mason Lake Drive West, and more
specifically located in Sections 22 & 23 . Township 22 North, Range 2 West, W.M. M.P . 0 . 85 to 0 . 95 , work
defined as " construction" in the BARS Manual, Page II-63 , et seq, is determined to be necessary and proper; and,
WHEREAS , this project is identified as # 5 on the officially adopted County Annual Road Program.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their
intention to :
Perform preliminary engineering, right of way acquisition and construction for replacement of damaged
culvert in Schumocher Creek at its crossing under Mason Lake Drive West and for enhancement of fish passage . (All
off right-of-way'work will be sponsored and executed by the South Puget Sound Salmon Enhancement Group .)
Removal of existing Thigh x Twide x 40 'long galvanized steel culvert and installation of a larger
culvert or an open-bottomed structure, depending on the hydrologic analysis . Repair roadway surface with Asphalt
Concrete .
SAID WORK is to be performed by day labor/contract in accordance with the Washington State Standard
(day labor/contract)
Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted by Mason County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above described County Road Project is necessary and proper, and the
estimated costs of said project are herewith set out as follows :
Engineering $ M000 . 00
Right-of--Way $ 5 000 . 00
Road Construction $ 65 000 . 00
The County Road Project herein described is BEREBY DECLARED to be a public necessity, and the County Road
Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AT_T I-IORIZED to report and proceed thereon as by law, provided and in
accordance with WAC 13648 .
