Fairgrounds Rental Fees and Vendor Fees SOLUTION N > 115-99 FAIRGROUNDS RENTAL FEES AND VENDOR FEES WHEREAS , the Board of Mason County Commissioners adopted Resolution # 115 -99 on October 5 , 1999 to establish rental fees at the Mason County Fairgrounds ; and, WHEREAS , it is necessary to amend the resolution to raise the fee schedule due to increased operating and utility costs and to implement hourly fees due to number of customer requests ; AND to append new rental fee classifications due to increased maintenance & operation costs ; AND to raise the amount of deposit required to guarantee cleanup and to protect against damage as recommended by the Fairground Management ; AND to amend the vendor fees schedule and admission prices recommended by Mason County Fair Management for the Mason County Fair ; WHEREAS , the Board of Mason County Commissioners held . a public hearing to consider amending the rental and vendor fees AND ; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Mason County Commissioners amends Resolution No . 35 - 97 and establishes the Mason County Fairground Rental Fee Schedule and the Mason County Fair vendor fee schedule as outlined below effective January 1 , 2000 . The following flat fees in the rental fee schedule include state and local sales tax . RENTAL. OF ENTIRE GROUNDS Entire Grounds $ 650 . 00 OR Entire Grounds including parking lot $ 750000 OR Parking lot only $ 100 . 00 per day OR 10% of renters gross fees received from concessionaires and gate receipts whichever is greater. PLUS electricity from the time the renter starts setting up until the day after the event ends and removal of garbage f �)m grounds . The renter will be charged for any cleanup done by Convention Center staff at the rate of $ 25 . 00 per hour . Rental of entire grounds involves a caretaker to assist with maintenance problems that may arise . VENDORS QUALIFYING FOR SPACE AT NO CHARGE Those members of the community providing a service to the Mason County Fair at the Mason County Fair qualify for space, determined by vendor manager, at no charge (may be subject to % of gross sales) . Also qualifying for vendor space at no charge are sponsors (as contracted) or negotiated trades with the Fair Manager. All other vendors are subject to full rates . MASON COUNTY FAIR, GATE ADMISSION PRICES Adult Day Pass $4 . 00 Adult Season Pass $ 7 . 00 * Family Day Pass $ 12 . 00 * Family Season Pass $ 24 . 00 Senior Citizen Day Pass (62+ yrs) $ 3 . 00 Student Day Pass (6 - 18 yrs) $ 2 . 00 Children ages 5 and under accompanied by adult FREE 4 -H & FFA Exhibitor Season Pass $ 3 . 00 * * * Participating Vendor Season Pass $ 5 . 00 * * Fair volunteers & Department Superintendents FREE * a " Family" consists of I or 2 adults accompanying any number of children under age 18 * * a Fair Volunteer is a person who is volunteering for an active Mason County Fair department as outlined in Resolution # 111 -95 (or 111 . 95 as amended) * * * All person s working a shift for a vendor must purchase a pass , even if there is no charge for vendor space . THIS FEE SCHEDULE MAY BE MODIFIED ACCORDING TO CLASS OF USER AS FOLLOWS o CLASS I : GOVERNMENTAL All Mason County and other governmental entities will pay for reimbursement of utility costs at $ 5 . 00 per hour plus $ 25 . 00 per hour will be charged for any clean-up not completed on day of use . " Clean-up" is defined in the facilities rental contract . CLASS IIe NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT SPONSOR LARGE EVENTS PROMOTING TOURISM IN MASON COUNTY AND/OR BENEFITING OTHER NON -PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WHO ARE FILLING PUBLIC AND SOCIAL WELFARE NEEDS WITHIN MASON COUNTY . These users will pay full , flat rates as outlined : However they will be exempt from the percentage (%) provision which results in fees greater than flat rates . Improvement of the facilities which helps to fulfill long range objectives as developed by Convention Center/Fairgrounds management and by the Mason County Board of Commissioners, may be accomplished in lieu of payment of fees ; subject to the approval of the Director of Tourism & Recreation . These users may also be exempt from paying fees in advance in recognition of the cash flow problems attendant to festival management . Cleanup and damage deposit will be paid in advance . CLASS III : NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT SPONSOR SMALLER EVENTS WHICH ENRICH THE CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT AND WHO ARE FILLING PUBLIC AND SOCIAL WELFARE NEEDS WITHIN MASON COUNTY . For those Class III groups with paid usage at or above seven or more times in the previous calendar year and who regularly work to maintain/improve buildings and/or grounds as a part of their fairgrounds usage may receive a 10% discount upon approval from the Director of Mason County Department of Tourism & Recreation . CLASS IV : OTHER USERS WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE COMPLETE RENTAL FEE SCHEDULE .
