RESOLUTION NO .
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY INTO FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT NO . 2 , PER RCW 52 . 04
WHEREAS , the Board of Mason County Commissioners approved a petition for
annexation into Fire Protection District No . 2 for the below described territory and as outlined on
Attachment A and submitted it to the Board of Fire Commissioners of Mason County Fire
Protection No . 2 ; and
Section 8 , Township 22 North , Range 2 WWM and Section 7 , Township 22 North , Range
2 WWM , Excepting the West One- Half ( 1 /2 ) of the Southwest One- Quarter ( 1 /4 ) thereof,
all situated in Mason County , Washington .
WHEREAS , the Board of Fire Commissioners of Mason County Fire Protection District
No . 2 requested the Mason County Auditor call a special election to consider the annexation of
property , in accordance with RCW 52 , 04 , 011 (2 ) ; and
WHEREAS , a special election was held on Tuesday , April 27 , 1999 and the Mason
County Auditor has certified that the election measure passed ;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED , that the Board of Mason County Commissioners
hereby approves the annexation into Fire Protection District . No . 2 for the above described
territory ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the financial obligation of the area to be annexed shall
become subject to the indebtedness , bonded or otherwise , of the existing district.
