COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION NO. :
COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. : 1618
WHEREAS , on Mason County Road No . 97500 known locally as the Belfair-Tahuya Road , and more
specifically located in Section 22 Township 22 North Range 3 West W.M. , M.P. 0 . 22 , work defined as
"construction" in the BARS Manual, Page II-63 , et seq, is determined to be necessary and proper; and,
WHEREAS , this project is identified as # 5 on the officially adopted County Annual Road Program,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their
intention to :
Perform preliminary engineering, right of way acquisition and construction - School House Creek.
Removal of existing culvert and installation of a Squash Culvert 12 '6 " Wide X 79" High X 60' Long and five (5) log
weirs to regrade the stream for fish passage, as per Agreement No . 994068D with the Washington State Governor' s
Salmon Recovery Office (GSRO)/ Project Title: School House Creek Fish Barrier Removal .
SAID WORK is to be performed by day labor/contract in accordance with the Washington State Standard
(day labor/contract)
Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted by Mason County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above described County Road Project is necessary and proper, and the
estimated costs of said project are herewith set out as follows :
Engineering $ 5 .000 . 00
Right-of-Way $ 5A00 . 00
Road Construction $ 57 .969 . 00
(Note : Funds provided by : Washington State GSRO Project Agreement No. 99- 1068D : $ 52,969 . 00
Mason County: $ 159000 , 00)
The County Road Project herein described is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public necessity, and the County Road
Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED to report and proceed thereon as by law, provided and in
accordance with WAC 136- 18 .
