An Ordinance amending Mason County Code Section 9 . 44 . 100 Dogs on Leashes-Horses
WHEREAS , Mason County has two recreation facilities which are used as sports complexes , Mason
County Recreation Area (MCRA) and Sandhill Park; and
WHEREAS , it has been determined that dogs are not a compatible use of sports complexes ; and
WHEREAS , it is desirable to make exception to guide dogs ;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby ordained by the Mason County Board of Commissioners that Mason
County Code Section 9 . 44 . 100 shall be amended to add the following : " (b) Provided however, that no dogs
shall be allowed within the sports complexes at Mason County Recreation Area (MCRA) and Sandhill Park
with exception to guide dogs for the handicapped.
