AMENDS RESOLUTION NO . 12 &96
A RESOLUTION ALLOWING COUNTY OFFICES TO CHARGE $25 FOR ALL
RETURNED CHECKS
WHEREAS , it is a convenience to the public to be allowed to make payments to the County in
the form of a check, and
WHEREAS , it has been ascertained that charging a service fee on all checks requiring
reprocessing is necessary to recover some of the labor and handling costs ;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved that Mason County offices are authorized to make a
charge of twenty-five ($25) dollars to reprocess a "Non-negotiable" check effective January 1 ,
2001 ;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that each County office shall receive a copy of this resolution
and shall post a notice to this effect.
