2000 BUDGET
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - NOTICE OF HEARING
WHEREAS , by reason of conditions which could not be reasonably foreseen at the
time of making the budget for the year 2000 , it is necessary to make provision for
supplemental appropriation to the budget as required by RCW 36 . 40 . 100 , and RCW
36 . 40 . 195 due to :
In the Current Expense Fund : unbudgeted 1 695 ( lost MVET revenue )
replacement monies from the WA State Legislature and unbudgeted interest income to
be used for general wage increases ; WA State reimbursements to Juvenile Detention
to be used for travel expenses ; unanticipated Park Department charges for services to
be used for Sandhill Park capital improvements and operating supplies .
In the Health Services Fund : an additional operating transfer from the Current
Expense Fund , unbudgeted 1 695 replacement monies from the WA State Legislature
( lost MVET revenue) , an additional contribution from the Mason General Hospital ,
additional indirect federal grant monies for the Tobacco Prevention/Control Program ,
additional federal and state grant money for the Passport Program and Alternative
Response System program . These revenues will be used to establish a Lead Program
Coordinator for the Communicable Disease/TB Program ; increase the Mason Matters
Program Manager to . 6 FTE and fund operating expenses of the Mason Matters
Program ; add extra hire funds to pay for an HIV/AIDS Outreach worker, translation
services and supplies for the Tobacco Prevention /Control program .
THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners :
That the 19T" day of December, 2000 at the hour of 9e45 a . m . in the Mason
County Commission Chambers , at Courthouse Building 1 , 411 North Fifth Street , Shelton ,
Washington , is hereby fixed as the time and place for a public hearing upon the matter of
the supplemental appropriation to the budget for the Current Expense Fund in the
estimated amount of $ 188 , 384 and the Health Services Fund in the estimated amount
of $ 63 , 390 for the above mentioned purposes .
The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized , empowered , and directed to cause
notice of such hearing to be published as provided by law .
