COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION NO. : 55 - 00
COUNTY ROAD PROTECT NO 1680
WHEREAS, on Mason County Road No, 7 9800 known locally as the Bear Creek-Dewatto Road
and more specifically located in Section 9. Township 23 North, Range 1 West, WM M.P. 10 . 16 to M.P . 10 . 20
work defined as " construction" in the BARS Manual, Page II-63 , et seq, is detennuied to be necessary and proper; and,
WHEREAS, this project is identified as #5 on the officially adopted County Annual Road Program:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY CONMSSI0NERS that it is their
intention to :
Remove existing 57 " x 38 " x 60 ' steel pipe arch from Bear Creek and replace it with a 14 ' 1 " x 6 2 " x 60 '
open bottom Aluminum Pipe Arch.
SAID WORK is to be performed by contract in accordance with the Washington State
(day labor/contract)
Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted by Mason County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above described County Road Project is necessary and proper, and the
estimated costs of said project are herewith set out as follows :
Engineering $ IU00 .00
Right-of=Way $ 5 .000 . 00
Road Construction $ 7U00 . 00
NOTE : State of Washington, Governor' s Salmon Recovery Office (GSRO) providing Grant in amount not to
exceed $90 ,000.00 -- to be shared with CRP 1611 , Old Belfair Ilighway culvert replacement.
The County Road Project herein described is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public necessity, and the County Road
Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED to report and proceed thereon as by law, provided and in
accordance with WAC 136 - 18 .
ADOPTED this 13th day of June 2000 .
