COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION NO. :
COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. : 1669
WHEREAS, on Mason County Road No . 91720 known locally as the Johns Prairie Road (Walkways , and
more specifically located in Sections 4. 5 and 7 . Township 23 North_ Ranee 3 West. ATM , M.P. 0 . 28 to M.P . 1 . 89
work defined as 'construction" in the BARS Manual, Page II-63 , et seq, is determined to be necessary and proper; and,
WHEREAS , this project is identified as #3 on the officially adopted County Annual Road Program ,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their
intention to :
Construct a multi-use walkway (pedestrian and bicycle), on south sdie of Johns Prairie Road, from end of Shelton
Walkway and continue on to MCRA Park. Application of four inches (4 ") crushed surfacing top course and two
inches (2") of asphalt concrete. Project will be in conjunction with the Johns Prairie Road drainage project.
SAID WORK is to be performed by contract in accordance with the Washington State
(day labor/contract)
Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted by Mason County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above described County Road Project is necessary and proper, and the
estimated costs of said project are herewith set out as follows :
Engineering $ M000 . 00
Right-of-Way $ 2.000 . 00
Road Construction $ 175 .000 . 00
The County Road Project herein described is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public necessity, and the County Road
Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED to report and proceed thereon as by law, provided and in
accordance with WAC 13648 .
ADOPTED thisR< day of Aprt 2000 .
