A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE WATSON WILDWOOD VIEW PARK .
WHEREAS , Kathleen Watson , has bequeathed a tract of land to the Mason
County Parks Department as certain real property located in Mason County ,
Washington , known as Lots 11 through 17 in the Watson Plat of Mason County ,
Washington , commonly described as that certain survey filed for record with the Mason
County Auditor on May 11 , 1979 in Book 5 of Surveys at Page 31 , records of Mason
County , Washington , ( Mason County Parcel #' s 12221 75 00110 ; 12221 75 00120 ;
12221 75 00130 ; 12221 75 00140 ; 12221 75 00150 ; 12221 75 00160 ; and 12221 75
00170 ) ; and
WHEREAS in accordance with the last will and testament of Kathleen Watson
dated October 24 , 1997 ; conditions are placed as follows :
1 . That the Mason County Parks Department keep the property in perpetuity
as a natural wilderness park with selective care ;
2 . That the wilderness park contain a bronze plaque stating it is in memory of
John Hougton Watson and Aima Katherine Lowe Watson from their
children John , Alan and Katherine ;
3 . That the wilderness park be known as the Watson Wildwood View Park ;
and
4 . That any forest tax payable regarding the property be either forgiven or
assumed by the Mason County Parks Department ; and
WHEREAS , it is in the best interest for Mason County to accept the land .
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Mason County
Commissioners hereby accepts the above described property with the terms and
conditions outlined in 1 through 4 above .
BE IT HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED , that the Estate of Kathleen Watson may
proceed to transfer the ownership of this property .
