A Resolution amending Resolution No . 15 ,1. 99 establishing a reasonable
processing fee for applications made under the Timber and Current Use Assessment
Program .
WHEREAS , at a public hearing on December 28 , 1999 , the Mason County
Assessor recommended that an application fee be charged for various programs pursuant
to chapters 84 . 33 and 84 . 34 RCW, including the Current Use Assessment Program of
Farm and Agricultural Land, Open Space Land, Timberland and Designated Forest Land,
and to also charge an additional $25 . 00 removal fee for estimating the compensating tax
due when the sole purpose for the request is for the land owners private personal use ;
WHEREAS , it has subsequently been determined that a fee cannot be charged for
Designated Forest Land applications under RCW 84 . 33 , nor can a removal fee for
estimating the compensating tax due be charged;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is resolved by the Mason County Board of
Commissioners that $ 90 is hereby adopted as a reasonable application processing fee
for each application for Current Use Assessment program of Farm and Agricultural Land,
Open Space Land, and Timberland, per RCW 84 . 34 . 030 ;
