2000 BUDGET
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - NOTICE OF HEARING
WHEREAS , by reason of conditions which could not be reasonably foreseen at the
time of making the budget for the year 2000 , it is necessary to make provision for
supplemental appropriation to the budget as required by RCW 36 . 40 . 100 , and RCW
36 . 40 . 195 due to : unanticipated beginning fund balance in the Current Expense Fund to
be used for a position reclassification in the Prosecutor' s Office and to correct budget
discrepancies in District Court ; interfund charges for services in the Prosecutor' s Office to
fund salaries of Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys during the days Mason County is closed to
the public for public business ; unbudgeted Boating Program cash on hand to be used for
the Boating Program ; Smoke Detector Grant reimbursements for the smoke detector
program ; unanticipated beginning fund balance and a federal grant for the jail expansion
project in the Capital Improvement Fund .
THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners :
That the 4t" day of April , 2000 at the hour of 9 : 15 a . m . in the Mason County
Commission Chambers , at Courthouse Building 1 , 411 North Fifth Street , Shelton ,
Washington , is hereby fixed as the time and place for a public hearing upon the matter of
the supplemental appropriation to the budget for the Current Expense Fund in the
estimated amount of $ 115 , 837 and the Capital Improvement Fund in the estimated
amount of $ 234 , 974 for the above mentioned purposes .
The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized , empowered , and directed to
cause notice of such hearing to be published as provided by law .
