INCREASING THE 2001 SALARIES OF CERTAIN ELECTED OFFICIALS
WHEREAS , RCW 36 . 40 . 080 states that " . . . the Board of County
Commissioners shall fix and determine each item of the budget separately and
shall by resolution adopt the budget . . .
WHEREAS , the fixing of Elected Officials ' salaries is an integral part of
the budgeting process ;
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners has determined that the
compensation of certain Elected Officials should be adjusted ,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County
Commissioners does hereby increase the 2001 salary of the Assessor , Auditor ,
Clerk and Treasurer to $55 , 395 annually effective September 1 , 2001 and to
$57 , 057annually effective January 1 , 2002 .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that effective January
11 2003 and each year thereafter the Assessor , Auditor, Clerk and Treasurer
shall be paid an annual salary equivalent to 95 % of the salary of the highest
paid Mason County Commissioner .
