A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COMMISSIONERS SALARIES AND
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO . 71 -92
WHEREAS , it is in the best interest of Mason County and its citizens to adequately
compensate the Board of County Commissioners ; and
WHEREAS , Mason County Commissioners are paid significantly less than the
average salary of Commissions in Island , Jefferson , Clallam , Grays Harbor and Lewis
Counties ; and
WHEREAS , a Public Hearing was held on August 21 to receive public comment on
Commissioners' salaries ;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners
does hereby amend Resolution NO . 71 -92 by establishing annual Commissioners salaries
as follows :
Year 2003 Commissioner ( District 1 & 2) $ 577805
Commissioner ( District 3) $617862
Year 2004 Commissioner ( District 1 & 2) $ 597539
Commissioner ( District 3) $631718
Year 2005 Commissioner (All Districts) $65 , 630
Year 2006 , and each year thereafter, Commissioners salaries shall be increased
3 % , rounded to the nearest whole dollar.
