COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION NO. : 8 0- 01
COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. : 1711
WHEREAS, on Mason County Road No. 40850 known locally as the Eells Hill Road more
specifically located in Section 18 .Township 21 North, Range 4 West. WM , M.P . 0 . 50 to M.P . 0 . 82 work defined
as "construction" in the BARS Manual, Page II-63 , et seq, is determined to be necessary and proper; and,
WHEREAS , this project is identified as Item #4 on the officially adopted County Annual Road Program,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it. is their
intention to :
Earthquake Damaged Road Reconstruction (* * *FEMA)
Perform preliminary engineering, environmental documentation, right-of-way acquisition,
and roadway excavation to widen damaged roadway.
SAID WORK is to be performed by day labor / contract in accordance with the Washington State
(day labor/contract)
Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted by Mason County,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above described County Road Project is necessary and proper, and the
estimated costs of said project are herewith set out as follows:
Engineering $ 27.000 . 00
Right-of-Way $ 8.000 . 00
Road Construction $ 100.000 . 00
* * * NOTE : FEMA will provide 100 % funding.
The County Road Project herein described is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public necessity, and the County Road
Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED to report and proceed thereon as by law, provided and in
accordance with WAC 136- 18 .
ADOPTED this 14th day of Augqst , 2001 .
