2001 BUDGET
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION = NOTICE OF HEARING
WHEREAS , by reason of conditions which could not be reasonably foreseen at the
time of making the budget for the year 2001 , it is necessary to make provision for
supplemental appropriation to the budget as required by RCW 36 . 40 . 100 , and RCW
36 . 40 . 195 due to : The unanticipated beginning fund balance (cash carryover) in the
Current Expense Fund to be used for the following . an increase in the Prosecutor's salary ;
an operating transfer to finance the employee recognition program ; an overtime
expenditure line for the Facilities & Grounds Department ; the Sheriff's purchase of a trailer
to haul the skid car; additional unbudgeted costs of the new Treasurer; reclassification of
the Human Resources Administrative Secretary position ; training time for the replacement
of a retiring Clerical IV in Community Development ; payment of accrued vacation and sick
leave to the retiring Clerical IV in Community Development, and accrued vacation for park
aides .
THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners :
That the 5th day of June , 2001 at the hour of 9 : 45 a . m . in the Mason County
Commission Chambers , at Courthouse Building 1 , 411 North Fifth Street , Shelton ,
Washington , is hereby fixed as the time and place for a public hearing upon the matter of
a supplemental appropriation to the budget for the Current Expense Fund in the
estimated amount of $49 , 800 and the Employee Recognition Fund in the estimated
amount of $ 5 , 000 for the above mentioned purposes .
The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized , empowered , and directed to cause notice of
such hearing to be published as provided by law .
