COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION NO . :
COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO . : 1796
WHEREAS, on Mason County Road No. 80610 known locally as the Elfendahl Pass Road
and more specifically located in Section 27, Township 23 North, Range 2 West, WM M . P . 2 . 95 to M .P . 2 . 99
(Long Marsh Beaver Dam),work defined as " construction " in the BARS Manual , Page II-63 , et seq, is determined to be
necessary and proper; and,
WHEREAS, this project is identified as # 5 on the officially adopted County Annual Road Program,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their
intention to :
(Long Marsh Beaver Dam)
Perform preliminary engineering and construction to replace two existing undersized culverts with
one ( 1 ) large box culvert in order to halt the periodic flooding of the road . The new culvert will
be fish passable .
SAID WORK is to be performed by Contract in accordance with the Washington State
(day labor/contract)
Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted by Mason County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above described County Road Project is necessary and proper, and the
estimated costs of said project are herewith set out as follows :
Engineering $ 4 , 000 . 00
Right-of--Way $
Road Construction $ 89 ,000000
The County Road Project herein described is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public necessity, and the County Road
Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED to report and proceed thereon as by law, provided and in
accordance with WAC 136- 18 .
ADOPTED this Is' day of July 2003 .
