ALLOCATION OF SHB 2060 LOW INCOME HOUSING MONEY
WHEREAS , Senate House Bill 2060 was established to provide money for low
income housing programs in Mason County for extremely low and very low income
people, using the HUD guidelines ;
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners believes there is a tremendous
need for low income housing programs in Mason County;
WHEREAS , the Mason County Housing Coalition and the City of Shelton
reviewed the five proposals submitted and recommended to the Board of County
Commissioners approval of four proposals ;
NOW THEREFORE, The Board of County Commissioners of Mason County
does hereby approve the allocation of Senate House Bill 2060 low income housing
money as follows : $ 9 , 787 to Habitat for Humanity; $ 70 , 580 to the Housing Authority of
Mason County; $ 9 , 000 to the Cold & Hungry Coalition; and $ 135 , 000 to Turning Pointe
subject to the execution of an agreement with Mason County pertaining to the use of
funds .
