2005 BUDGET- SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION
WHEREAS , by reason of conditions which could not be reasonably foreseen at the time
of making the budget for the year 2005 , it is necessary to make provision for a supplemental
appropriation to the budget as authorized by RCW 36 .40 . 100 and RCW 36 .40 . 195 due to the
following in the Health Services Fund:
Environmental Health - three additional Dept. of Ecology grants , an unanticipated
increase in revenue from well delegation fees, and the Governor ' s Onsite Emergency
Appropriation for Lower Hood Canal Surveys . This unanticipated revenue will be used to hire
additional staff and to purchase equipment.
Health Administration - an interlocal contract with Thurston County for Bio4errorism
response, and a increase in the State Consolidated Contract for the purchase of computer security
components and to provide training .
Personal Health - additional unbudgeted beginning fund balance which will be used to
hire an additional translator/interpretator and for operating expenses .
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Mason County Commissioners :
That the 24th of May 2005 at the hour of 6 : 30 PM in the Mason County Commissioners
Chambers in Courthouse Building I, 411 North Fifth Street, Shelton, Washington, is hereby fixed
as the time and place for a public hearing upon the matter of a supplemental appropriation to the
2005 Budget for the :
Health Services Fund in the estimated amount of $216,368
