ADOPTION OF WAC 246-215 INTO THE )
COUNTY TITLE 6 SANITARY CODE ) ORDINANCE # 3 7 — 0 5
WHEREAS, it is the role and responsibility of Mason County Board of Commissioners to adopt,
regulations to protect public health and safety, and
WHEREAS, it is the role and responsibility of Mason County Board of Health to make
recommendations to the Mason County Board of Commissioners regarding chapters of Mason County
Code pertaining to public health issues, and
WHEREAS, the State Board of Health adopted proposed revisions to Chapter 246-215 WAC,
Food Service, on September 8 , 2004 . The revisions will become effective on May 2, 2005 , and
WHEREAS, Chapter 246-215 WAC provides the safety standards for food served or sold to the
public in Washington State,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED that the Board of Mason County Commissioners
authorizes that the WAC 246-215, and any subsequent amendments be adopted by reference, and that the
current Chapter 6 . 08 (FOOD SERVICE REGULATIONS) of the Mason County Code be replaced with
WAC 246-215 . A copy of the WAC can be found on the Mason County website (www. co . mason.wa.us) .
