Porter, Commissioner The Lower Hood Canal Clean Water District meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m.by Chairperson William O. Hunter. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Cmmr.Faughender/Porter moved and seconded to approve the minutes dated November 21, 1994 as amended. CORRESPONDENCE None CONCURRENCE OF BOARD ACTION Cmmr.Porter/Faughender moved and seconded to concur with the action on November 22,1994 to enter into the agreement with Community Action Council for the Lower Hood Canal Clean Water District assistance fund. Motion carried unanimously. F-aye; H-aye; P-aye. SURVEY STATUS REPORT Mark Tompkins, Program Manager, presented a graph of planned vs. actual surveys reported for Lower Hood Canal. The number of inspections in November decreased slightly because they started dye testing instead of performing visual inspections. They completed 39 inspections and initiated 91 dye tests. They are waiting for lab results or water samples. Mr. Tompkins submitted an additional graph which shows repair status. He noted is the actual repairs which have been referred to Kim Lincoln for follow-up. There have been 92 referred of which 11 were identified as failures and 9 repairs were completed. She has been working on all of the repairs. The report does not reflect the houses which have been posted, most of which are by the owners request because they are not present in the winter time. Cmmr. Faughender questioned what the "posting consists of. Mr. Tompkins responded it is posted for "no occupancy." Cmmr. Faughender asked what is attainable for the dye testing. Mr. Tompkins noted the staff seems to be doing a great job. Currently they are fighting the tide and the Christmas season. They seem to be obtaining the numbers which would allow them to finish on schedule, barring no unforseen major stumbling blocks. ADVISORY BOARD REPORT Harry Martin, Lower Hood Canal Clean Water District Advisory Board, noted he spoke with one of the residents which had a concern about the sign at the Annex He wanted to know why there weren't as many inspections in November as in October. Mr.Martin explained they are conducting approximately twice as many dye tests because of the rain as they were in October. He invited the individual to come to the lab and learn the process.
