APPROVING AN OPERATING TRANSFER FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
REET 2 FUND (351-000-000) TO THE WASTEWATER SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
FUND (405-000-000)
WHEREAS, RCW 36.32.120, states ". the board of county commissioners...have the
care of the county property and the management of the county funds and business."
WHEREAS, the Mason County second quarter percent additional Real Estate Excise
Tax (REET 2) revenue may be used to finance those public works projects of a local government
for planning, acquisition, construction, reconstruction, repair, replacement, rehabilitation, or
improvement of storm and sanitary sewer systems;
WHEREAS, the Mason Board of County Commissioners contracted with Art O'Neal
and Associates for assistance with wastewater management issues;
NOW THEREFORE, the Mason County Board of County Commissioners does hereby
approve an operating transfer in the amount of $80,000 from the Capital Improvement REET 2
Fund (35 1-000-000) to the Wastewater System Development Fund (405-000-000) to be used for
the cost of the contract with consultants Art O'Neal and Associates.
