WHEREAS, Chapter 90.72.045 RCW requires the county legislative authority to create a
shellfish protection district when a downgrade of classification occurs;
WHEREAS, Washington State Department of Health, Office of Shellfish Programs,
downgraded the commercial shellfish area classification of a portion of Annas Bay from
"Approved" to "Prohibited" by final order on August 18, 2005,
NOW, T'HER]EFORE, IE IT IESOLVED that a shellfish protection district be established
encompassing the area within the boundaries shown on "Attachment A" and described as
follows:
That portion of the Skokomish Watershed designated as the Lower Skokomish Watershed
including the area bounded on the east by the T ,ower Skokomish watershed boundary to US
Highway 101, following 1"S Highway 101 north to and including Potlatch State Park.
