AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 71-OO
RESERVE LEGAL #2 FUND (130-000-000)
WHEREAS,RCW36.32.720,states"...theboardofcountycommissioners...havethecareof
the county property and the management of the county frmds and business. . . "
WHEREAS, the Mason County Board of Commissioners budgeted the Reserve Legal #2 Fund
(130-000-000) in the 2000 Mason County Budget,
WHEREAS, the Mason County Board of Commissioners recogrizes the cost of mwder cases
often exceed the annual operating budgets for the prosecutor, indigent defense, and the court systen¡
however the Commissioners have determined the need to transfer money from this frrnd to the Current
Expense Fund for general government purposes;
NO\Y, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, at the Board's discretion, upon an annual
review, the Board may transfer such monies within this discretionary, non-mandated fund, back into the
County's Current Expense Fund for general government purposes as needed. However, at no time shall this
fund be maintained below $50,000 (Minimum Balance), unless such monies are needed to be paid directly
to the Prosecutor and/or Courl Services as a paÍ of any murder case processing within the County.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Mason County Commissioners will manage
this fund and pay proper expenses ftom this fund as approved by the Commissioners.
