A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTON NO, 54-10
CALLING FOR AN ELECTION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
MASON COUNTY CEMETERY DISTRICT 2
WHEREAS, RCW 68.52.100 establishes a process for forming a public cemetery by petition; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Mason CounÇ Commissioners on July 13, 2010
after publishing the petition and notice of hearing in the local newspaper of general circulation
and posting the petition and notice in three public places within the boundaries of the proposed
district; and
WHEREAS, the Mason County Commissioners have found that the creation of Mason County
Cemetery District 2 will be conducive to the public welfare and convenience and will be
considered by the voters;
WHEREAS, the current limitfortaxation would be 11,25 cents perthousand dollars of assessed
valuation if the creation of Mason County Cemetery District 2 is approved by the voters and this
limit may be more or less depending on future statutory amendments;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of Mason County Commissioners
finds in favor of the formation of the Mason County Cemetery 2and fixes the boundaries as
follows:
All that portion of Mason County Washington particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Section thirty three (33),Township twenty tuvo (22) North, Range
one (1)West, W.M.; thence South 500 feet, more or less, to Case lnlet; thence Southerly and
Southwesterly, along the East line of Mason County and the centerline of Case lnlet and Totten lnlet to
the East line of Section twenty nine (29), Township nineteen (19) North, Range three (3)West, W.M.;
thence Southerly 1.5 miles, more or less, to the Southeast corner of Section thirty two (32), Township
nineteen (19) North, Range three (3) West, W.M.; thence West, along the South lines of Township
nineteen (19) North, Range three (3) West and Township nineteen (19) North, Range four (4)West, to the
Southwest corner of Section thirty one (31), Township nineteen (19) North, Range four (4)West, W.M.;
thence North to the Northwest corner of said Section thirty one (3'1); thence West along the South lines of

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED to submit to a public vote on November 2, 2010 the question of
whetherto establish Mason County Cemetery District 2and to provide forthe election of 3
(three) cemetery district commissioners contemporaneously with the question of whether or not
to form the district pursuant to RCW 68.52.140. The election of the commissioners shall be null
and void if the district is not created.
