2O1O BUDGET
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION/BUDGET TRANSFER . NOTICE OF HEARING
WHEREAS, by reason of conditions which could not be reasonably foreseen at the time of
making the budget for the year 2010, it is necessary to make provision for a supplemental
appropriation and budget transfer to the budget as required by RCW 36.40.100, and RCW
6.40.195 for the following:
$10,000 transfer from Current Expense Ending Fund Balance to Gurrent Expense Non-
Departmental to update the Cable TV Franchise Master Ordinance and negotiate current
franchise agreements with the cable companies doing business in Mason County.
$5,000 Supplemental Appropriation to the Sheriff Chaplain Fund (#141-000-000) from
private donations that were not anticipated. This will be used for the purchase of
protective vests.
$96,230 Supplemental Appropriation to Current Expense/SherifPs Department from the
Department of Justice 2009 Recovery Act Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant Program.
This will be used for the purchase of computers for the patrol vehicles and security
fencing at322 N. 3'd Street.
$19,635 Supplemental Appropriation to Current Expense/Sheriffs Department from the
Department of Justice 2010 Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program. This will be
used for the required security equipment for the offsite evidence storage area and to
procure specialized tactical vests for the SWAT teams members.
$16,168 Supplemental Appropriation to Gurrent Expense/Sheriffs Department from a
refund from Zenith Gorporation for the Gounty lnmate Program and this will be used for
the security fencing at322 N. 3'd Street.
THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED BY TllE Board of Mason County Commissioners:
That the 6th day of July 2O1Q atthe hour of 9:30 a.m in the Mason County Commissioners
Chambers in Courthouse Building 1,411 North Fifth Street, Shelton, Washington, is hereby
fixed as the time and place for a public hearing upon the matter of a supplemental
appropriation/budget transfer in the 2010 Budget as follows:
. $10,000 budget transfer from Current Expense Ending Fund Balance to Current Expense
Non-Departmental.. $96,230 Supplemental Appropriation to Current Expense/Sheriff's Department from the
Deparlment of Justice 2009 Recovery Act Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant Program.. $19,635 Supplemental Appropriation to Current Expense/Sheriff's Department from the
Department of Justice 2010 Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program.. $16,168 Supplemental Appropriation to Current Expense/Sheriff's DepaÉment from a
refund from Zenith Corporation.. $5,000 Supplemental Appropriation to the Sheriff Chaplain Fund (#141-000-000) from
private donations that were not anticipated.
