RESOLUTION NO. 36-to
AMENDING RESOLUTION 93-99
A Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Mason County, State of Washington,
setting forth the Mission Statement and the Goals, as identified by the Board of Commissioners
for Mason County for the Citizens Advisory Committee participating in the 6-Year Transportation
lmprovement Program - Citizens Advisory Panel (TlP-CAP).
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the adoption of the Transportation lmprovement Program will be
required in accordance with RCW 36.81.121 and WAC 130.16.010; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners recognizes the need and the added value associated
with public involvement during the preparation of the 6 Year Transportation lmprovement
Program; and
WHEREAS, the County has received and processed a number of applications from local citizens
expressing a desire to participate in a Citizens Advisory Panel for the 6-Year Transportation
lmprovement Program ; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for Mason County has appointed multiple individuals
from each of the County Commissioner's Districts to act as the Primary Representatives in the
TIP-CAP process; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for Mason County is committed to provide the
aforementioned Citizens with the support and the information necessary to successfully
accomplish their task; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for Mason County believes that ultimately it will be very
beneficial to all parties involved to cleady define at the beginning of the process the desired work
product expected from the TIP-CAP.
BE lT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Mason County, State of
Washington, as follows:
SECTION l: The Board of Mason County Commissioners hereby defines the Mission Statement
of the TIP-CAP as follows:
The mission of the TIP-CAP is to act in an advisory role that wittassisf Mason County
and the proiectteam in balancing community need, safety and financialconcerns diring
the process of developing the 6 Year Transportation lmprovement Program. The Ttp-
CAP plays an important role in reviewing and analyzing Mason County's transportation
needs and presenting their proposed transportation improvement plan to the Board of
County Commissioners

TIP-CAP Mission Statement & Goals
SEGTION ll: The Board of Mason County Commissioners hereby establishes the Goals for the
TIP-CAP as follows:
Io assisf the project team in developing a 6 Year Transportation lmprovement Program
that is consisfenf and equitable in its application and flexible to changes in the
environment to se¡ve the present and future transportation needs of Mason County.
Io asslsf the project team in preparing a 6 Year Transportation lmprovement Program
which balances safety project purpose, commun$ needs and financial constraints.
