AMENDING RESOLUTION NO 47-08
A RESOLUTION EXPANDING THE FUNDING FOR THE MASON COUNTY
WATER CONSERVANCY BOARD
WHEREAS, water conservancy boards are authorized by the Washington State
Legislature in Chapter 90.80 of the revised Code of Washington,
WHEREAS, the Mason County Board of Commissioners established the Mason County
Water Conservancy Board on April 15, 2008;
WHEREAS, the Mason County Water Conservancy Board has agreed to assist in the
coordination of water resources in Mason County and additional funding is necessary to
complete this task;
WHEREAS, RCW 90.80.055 (1) (d) states "A board may also request and accept
assistance and support from the county government ... in which it operates";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that funding for the Mason County Water
Conservancy Board is expanded to include resources from Mason County funds as approved
by the Board of Mason County Commissioners.
