COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION NO: 'Z `
COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 1955
WHEREAS, on the Mason County Road No. 02070 known locally as the Schafer Park Road,
and Mason County Road No. No. 90100, known locally as the Matlock Brady Road, more
specifically both roads located in Sec. 31, T 19 N., R. 6 W., W.M., at the approximate mileposts
for each road listed below; work defined as "construction" in the BARS Manual, Page II-63,
Et Seq, is determined to be necessary and proper and,
WHEREAS, this project is identified as # 3 on the officially adopted County Annual Road
Program.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that
it is their intention to:
Improve sight distance through material and vegetation removal at the
intersection of Schafer Park Road (Approximately M.P. 0.0) and Matlock Brady
Road (Approximately M.P. 27.8); creating appropriate clear zones to enhance
overall traffic safety. In addition, the intersection may be realigned to further
improve traffic safety and traffic flow.
SAID WORK is to be performed by County Forces and/or Contract in accordance
with Washington State Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as
adopted by Mason County (RCW 26.77.065 and/or RCW 36.77.060).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the described County Road Project is necessary
and proper, and the estimate cost of said project are herewith set out as follows:
Engineering: $90,000.
Right of Way: $ 0 .
Construction: $400,000.
The County Road project herein described in HEREBY DECLARED to be a public
necessity, and the County Road Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED to
report and proceed thereon as by law, provided and in accordance with RCW 36.77.020
et. seq.
