RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE COMPREHENSIVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
PROJECT LIST FOR 2012-2013
WHEREAS, members of the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Council (EDC) have
been designated by the Mason County Board of Commissioners as the Comprehensive Economic
Development Stratecy (CEDS) Committee (formerly OEDP) for Mason County, Washincton; and
WHEREAS, the CEDS Committee has assisted Mason County in prioritizing possible infrastructure
improvements to enhance economic sustainability throughout Mason County; and
WHEREAS, the State Legislature has authorized Mason County to retain .09 percent of retail sales
taxes annually for economic development projects; and
WHEREAS, elicibility for funding must be demonstrated by a prioritization of projects; and
WHEREAS, the EDC has solicited suggested projects from local Mason County jurisdictions and
community groups; and
WHEREAS, the CEDS Committee has recommended a list of projects which updates the current
infrastructure needs vvhich the Commissioners have reviewed;
VVHEREAS, the Commissioners have identified the followinc
list and priorities as listed in Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of Mason County Commissioners
adopts the attached list of priorities for inclusion in the 2012-2013 CEDS publication.
