NOTICE OF INTENT TO DECLARE SURPLUS AND SELL REAL PROPERTY; AND
SETTING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ON SAID DECLARATION AND SALE
WHEREAS, Mason County owns the real property listed and described in Exhibit A, attached hereto;
and
WHEREAS, certain parcels of the property are tax title property with delinquent property tax,
penalties, interest and expenses owing; and
WHEREAS, other parcels were acquired for various purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that the property is surplus to the
needs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners intends to offer all of said property for sale first by
a public, sealed -bid process and subsequently by any of the several means authorized by Mason County
Code 3.40. Offering prices are those established by tax assessment or as otherwise recommended by the
Assessor s Office and final selling prices are to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
NOW, THEREFORic, BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing is set for Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at
9:30 aemo in the Commission Chambers, Mason County Courthouse, Building I, 411 North Fifth Street,
Shelton, Washington, at which time and place any citizen may appear and be heard either for or against the
declaration of surplus and authorization of sale; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Property Manager is directed to issue public notice regarding
the proposed declaration of surplus and sale of real property for three consecutive weeks in a newspaper of
general circulation within Mason County.
