AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 60-14 TO REVISE THE NON -UNION SALARY RANGE ALIGNMENT
REMOVING FACILITIES, PARKS AND TRAILS DIRECTOR AND ADDING FACILITIES, PARKS, AND TRAILS
MANAGER POSITION
WHEREAS, RCW 36.16.070 states that ... In all cases where the duties of any county office are
greater than can be performed by the person elected to fill it, the officer may employ deputies and
other necessary employees with the consent of the board of county commissioners. The board shall fix
their compensation ... .
WHEREAS, a Non -Union Salary Plan was established for those employees not represented by a
bargaining unit — Attachment A and a separate Public Defender Attorney Salary Plan was created in 2014
— Attachment B;
WHEREAS, it was determined that it is in the best interest of the county for efficiencies to
remove the Facilities, Parks and Trails Director and replace the position with a Facilities, Parks and Trails
Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby revise
the Non -Union Salary Range Alignment to establish the Facilities, Parks and Trails Manager position at
Salary Range 38.
