9:00 A.M. Closed Session—RCW 42.30.140(4)Labor Negotiation
Commissioners Neatherlin,Shutty,and Trask met in closed session from 9:00 a.m.
to 10:04 a.m. Mark Neary,Debbie Gould, Sheriff Salisbury,Undersheriff Adams,
Chief Hanson,Chief Spurling,Chief Dracobly,and Sheryl Hilt were also in
attendance.
10:00 A.M. Support Services—Mark Neary
Commissioners Neatherlin, Shutty,and Trask were in attendance via Zoom.
• Mark asked to appoint Margot Connole to the Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on
Aging for a two-year term ending December 2024. Need to check to see if she must
reside in Mason County to serve.
10:05 A.M. WSU Extension—Dan Teuteberg
Commissioners Neatherlin, Shutty,and Trask were in attendance via Zoom.
• Dan discussed the Fall/Winter 2022 Report on the accomplishments of the Mason
County Washington State University Extension. Topics included training archery
instructors,Clover kids' events,family robotics night,virtual summer camp,Cultivating
Success workshop,Master Gardener's is planning the plant sale,and cleaning up
Catalyst Park. Patricia Grover is retiring so they will be hiring for a Noxious Weed
position.
10:20 A.M. Sheriff's Office—Sheryl Hilt
Commissioners Neatherlin,Shutty,and Trask were in attendance via Zoom.
• Sheryl asked to extend the contract with Monarch Children's Advocacy Center for
forensic children's interviews. Approved to move forward.
10:25 A.M. Community Services—Dave Windom
Commissioners Neatherlin,Shutty,and Trask were in attendance via Zoom.
• Dave requested to post and fill the Environmental Health Management position and
appoint Ian Tracy as interim. Approved to move forward.
• Alex Paysse shared three applications for the Onsite Sewage Advisory Committee. Wes
Graves and Kim Delaney would like to stay on for another term and Dave Killoran
would like to fill the open Contractor position. Need to check to see if Dave must reside
in Mason County to serve. Approved to reappoint Wes and Kim.
• Marissa Watson asked to set a Public Hearing for April 26,2022 at 9:15 a.m.to consider
the annual update to the Capital Facilities Plan—Chapter 6 of the Mason County
Comprehensive Plan. Updates have been received from Public Works and Support
Services regarding the Six-Year Capital Facilities Improvement worksheets and the
Police and Criminal Justice department updated their narrative within the plan as well.
The Planning Advisory Commission(PAC)recommended to approve these updates.
Approved to move forward.
• Dave shared draft plans for Water Resource Inventory Area(WRIA) 14 and 15.

• Richard Dickinson shared the News Release for the 2022 United Ways Days of Caring—
Free Dump Vouchers. This is in partnership with United Way of Mason County to give
vouchers to 200 residents on a first-come-first-serve basis to redeem at the Shelton
landfill. These vouchers will be available beginning March 30,2022. Approved to
move forward.
• Mike Collins discussed a Private Line Occupancy Permit for 17491 NE North Shore
Road parcel no.32230-11-90030. The existing unpermitted underground power and
waterline is damaged and this permit will cover the relocation of the new power and
waterline. Approved to move forward.
• Mike asked for approval of County Road Project(CRP)2035 for Boyer Road and CRP
2036 for Snider Road to convert the gravel to chip seal. Both projects were completed
by County forces,but need to have a CRP number per County Road Administration
Board(CRAB). Approved to move forward.
