❑ Minerals $ ❑ Minerals $
❑ Personal Property $ ❑ Personal Property $
Total Value $ 1,054,445 Total Value $ 992,345
This decision is based on our finding that:
The hearing was held virtually via the Zoom platform on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
Marit& Tage Christiansen, Appellants, were not present at the hearing. IdaMae Jensen, Assessor's
Representative, was present.
The Appellant stated on their petition that they believed the Assessor's valuation should be reduced due to
improvements not being made since it was built in 2013. Roof tiles are plastic, not clay; floors are vinyl
plank, not wood; and all woodwork is painted MDF, not real wood. Appliances are L.G. The Appellant
does not dispute the land value of$177,330.
The Assessor's Representative recommended that the quality level be adjusted downward to reflect a
good/very good quality vs. the previous very good quality grade. The Assessor recommended a reduction
in the improvement value to $815,015. This good quality level reduction has been extended to include 2022
tax year.
Therefore, the Board sustains the value for the land at $177,330 and overrules and sets the improvements
value at$815,015 for a total of$992,345 for the subject parcel.
